CLASSIFICATION OF DATA CENTERS

Abstract: The data center (DC) is the most progressive form of computing resources when it is necessary to provide services to a wide range of users. Research subject. The article discusses the classification of data centers, their main functions, composition, purpose of creation and factors affecting them. Methodology and core results. The article provides a classification and structural analysis of the methods and technologies for constructing information storage and processing systems. In the work with a systematic approach analyzed factors affecting data centers. Practical relevance. It consists in the possibility of using the proposed classification in the tasks of systematically introducing the Internet of things devices into the data center, implementing software-defined data centers and developing methods for assessing the effectiveness of the functioning of the data center.

DEVELOPMENT OF INTELLIGENT SERVICE INTERNET APPLICATIONS FOR MANAGING CRM SYSTEMS

Abstract: Research subject. The article considers the issue of creating intelligent applications within the framework of CRM control systems. Method. Implementation of a generalized application model based on mathematical functional analysis. Core results. The model and an interaction scheme of elements of an intelligent application are proposed. Recommendations on structuring the application are made. Implemented the application as part of a demonstration project. Practical relevance. The considered problem and approaches to its implementation should contribute to the development of new services in data transmission networks.

COMPARISON OF THE PROBABILISTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF 8-BIT CODES WITH FORWARD ERROR CORRECTION

Abstract: Research subject. The article presents the results of comparing different 8-bit error-correcting codes by their probabilistic characteristics. Method. Simulation was performed to determine the probabilistic characteristics of 8-bit error-correcting codes. The principles of their coding and decoding are considered. Core results. The probabilistic characteristics of 8-bit error-correcting codes are identified and presented. Recommendations for their application are developed depending on the structure of the using transmission system. Practical relevance. The application of the considered codes for the construction of transmission systems on devices with limited computing resources is proposed. The applicability of these codes in the development of application layer byte protocols that require the use of forward error correction mechanisms in communication channels is noted.

A SURVEY ON HAPTIC CODEC DESIGN APPROACHES

Abstract: Tactile communication as a part of Tactile Internet concept now is one of the most promising research areas in telecommunications. Methods and approaches to design tactile codec, as well as equipment for the tactile sensation capture and display were the research subject of this work. As a research method author engaged collection and analysis of the known approaches to the subject of research. Core result. In this article author provide a survey of tactile data capture and display methods. Additionally, author propose a promising approach to the tactile codecs design, where vibration with sampling frequency of 2 kHz is combined with other tactile data, which is captured and send on an ad hoc basis. Practical relevance of the result allows to create a standard tactile codec. This in turn allows to widely introduce tactile component to the telecommunication applications.

DEPENDENCE OF THE STRUCTURAL PROPERTIES OF THE DUAL BASIS ON THE TYPE OF THE CHARACTERISTIC POLYNOMIAL

Abstract: The relevance of the topic is connected with the solution of problems of processing of recurrent sequences. The method used to determine the initial phase of a pseudorandom sequence constructed by the characteristic polynomial allows its processing directly in the receiving process. This approach does not require mandatory accumulation of the entire sequence, which significantly increases the efficiency of the system, which uses a dual basis as a method of decoding recurrent sequences. The method of decoding using the dual basis of the Galois field is an effective means of protection against errors in a digital data transmission system, where the codes of BCH, Reed-Solomon and other varieties of recurrent sequences can be used as noise-resistant codes. At the same time, the calculation of the elements of the basis dual to the left power basis generates a number of problems related to mathematical calculations over the elements of a finite field. In this paper, the methods of finding the elements of the dual basis are considered, the variants of simplified procedures for their calculation are proposed, and the task is to study the structural properties of the dual basis, which depend on the type of the characteristic polynomial. Research subject. The work is devoted to the study of binary Galois fields, in particular, the properties of the left power and dual basis are affected. Method. On the example of M-sequences, the procedure for finding the elements of the dual basis through the trace function is considered in detail using the mathematical apparatus developed by O. S. Kognovitsky. Core results. The analysis of the given properties of the dual basis allowed to reveal new structural dependences between its elements. Practical relevance. The revealed structural dependences between the elements of the dual basis of the Galois field make it possible to significantly simplify the implementation of the procedure for the formation of its elements.

APPROACHING TRUSTED TESTING OF NETWORKS WITH THE USE OF PROBES

Abstract: This paper presents a system-level architecture and signaling procedures of the system enabling trusted testing of telecommunication networks utilizing probes. The described system relies on the ongoing work of Study Group 11 at the International Telecommunication Union. The paper also includes testing profiles description, results storing, and users' access to the results. In a nutshell the considered approach allows for the testing system to operate as a "black box" recording all required network events on the user side. The results of such testing can be further used for resolving disputes between stakeholders. The system discussed in this paper is rely on current work items of Q9/11 of International Telecommunication Union (Standardization sector).

ALGORITHM OF BIOGRAPHICAL HYPOTHESES TESTING BASED ON GEOCHRONOLOGICAL TRACKING

Abstract: Research subject. Information technology of the geochronological tracking is an assembly of processes that accumulate and integrate data about geographic relocation of historical figures for a given time interval and represent the results as a generalizing graph in GIS. Method. Hypotheses on the stable tendencies in migration could be represented as the above graph's sub-graphs. Such tendencies testing would be reduced to the search and evaluation of the statistical significance for the matching graphs' isomorphism. Full-featured development of computer interpretation of the graph theory methods based on geochronological tracking provides new quality of historical research using modern GIS-tools. Practical relevance. Namely, researcher can use the quantitative methods of the corresponding logical-analytical apparatus. The proposed paper deals with a consideration of qualitatively new possibilities of such an approach and the corresponding algorithmic apparatus.

SECURITY ANALYSIS OF SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE COMPONENTS IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

Abstract: The paper comprises a review of approaches to security analysis of software and hardware components in wireless sensor networks. Research subject. The subject of the research is existing approaches to security analysis. Method. The methods of system analysis are applied in the work. Core results. A detailed analysis of existing threats and attacks on wireless sensor networks as well as an analysis of vulnerabilities and data transfer protocols between nodes of such systems has been performed. The main directions to ensure security of the wireless sensor networks are identified. Practical significance. The results obtained in this paper can be used to improve the means of protecting the wireless sensor networks from various cyber-physical attacks.
